Settings Reference
Every setting in SpeakerView, what it does, and its default value. Access Settings by tapping the gear icon on the home screen.

| Color Mode | Choose System (follows your iPhone’s Light/Dark Mode setting automatically), Light, or Dark. Dark mode is popular for on-stage use, where a bright white screen can be distracting under stage lighting or in a dim room. | System |
| Font Size | A slider from 14pt to 60pt, with a live preview showing exactly how your text will look. In Auto-Shrink overflow mode, this is treated as a maximum — text will shrink smaller (down to 14pt) if a card doesn’t fit at your chosen size. | 24pt |
| When Text Overflows | Auto-Shrink — shrinks a long card’s text so it all fits on one screen. Paginate — instead splits a long card into multiple pages, breaking at paragraph breaks (blank lines) in your original text; each page can still shrink a bit if needed. | Keep Screen Awake | Prevents your iPhone from dimming or auto-locking the screen while a presentation is active. Automatically turns back off when you exit the presentation. See Screen Turns Off During a Presentation. | On |
| Teleprompter Mode | Mirrors the entire screen horizontally, for use behind a half-mirror teleprompter reflector. See Teleprompter Mode Setup. | Off |
| Enable Timer | Turns the pacing timer on or off. When on, a time bar appears during presentations along with a Start Timer button. See Using the Pacing Timer. | Off |
| Timer Mode | Duration — counts down from a set number of minutes, starting when you tap Start Timer. Finish By — counts down to a specific clock time, automatically adjusting if you start late. Only shown when Enable Timer is on. | Duration |
| Timer Duration | The number of minutes to count down from, in Duration mode. Adjustable from 1 to 180 minutes. | 10 minutes |

Translation and file import aren’t found in Settings — they’re separate buttons on the home screen:

How settings are saved
All settings are saved directly on your device and persist between app launches — there’s no account or sign-in involved, and nothing is synced to a server. See What Data Does SpeakerView Collect?.
